How has your search turned out for a student coaching job?

i've been given control of coaching our jv team, so i'm a player/coach there, so that will be weird to try and put together
i also play scout team for the men's and women's teams here, so i have an "in" there
but as far as solid jobs i have 4 options...my first option is to be a manager on the team here for 2 years, then slide into the vacant Grad Asst. spot here...that's probably the best-case-scenario
then i'm looking at 3 different area high schools if the manager position falls through...I'm lookin at Blacksburg, Christiansburg and Pulaski Co.
if i can, i'd like to stay as close to my apartment as possible b/c ill be travelling a lot with JV and some men's games, but at the same time Pulaski Co prob has the best coaching system in place and the most contacts, so it's something i'll have to sit down and try to decide within the next week and a half
i've decided to accept a position in Mexico City for the summer, and that way i'll be working with 13+ NCAA assistants and 1 NBA assistant, so i'll try and slip my name in there somewhere haha
but who knows, if there's one thing i've learned in this business it's to not get your hopes too high b/c basketball is very fluid and things change from day to day, so i just have to take it as they come and just hope and pray something good comes my way and jump on every opportunity i get

Im pumped about this season and my Heels. Looking forward to good season in the ACC, and in D1 overall.
